My Cyprus fairy tale wedding: 2nd of April 2014
May 1, 2013
As a wedding planner I always dreamed to plan every aspect for my wedding, from the venue to the details of the decoration and the songs of our playlist! Absolutely everything is what I wanted to control and absolutely nothing is what I ended up doing!
On Sunday, the 2nd of March 2014, my parter and I were in our flat in Edinburgh, listening to some music, drinking a nice red wine and drawing cartoons as we love doing when relaxing! It was then when he poped the question with one little difference than other engagements! Instead of giving me a fairy tale engagement ring, he gave me the wedding rign, two tickets for Cyprus and a wedding dress! It was all arranged and ready for us to go to Cyprus on Tuesday and marry on Wed, and so we did!
The crazy time pressure was on! It was not any more regarding preparing my wedding it was more about managing to be in Cyprus on time, gettting the wedding licences, have a shower and go to the venue!
I havent had any time for hair, make up, video, invitations, cakes, meal or anything like that..I basically had no time for nothing...I had to put on the wedding dress and walk down the aisle..
At the begining it felt uncomfortable and I kept thinking but I won't have the cake I wanted, the flowers I wanted and so on..
But during the five minutes time I had to put my dress on with my sister, she told me a couple of wise words: "I wish I meet someone in my life that I will want to get married the next day if I have to!"...
It was then when I realised, all it mattered is that Tom was there, he was loving and caring for me, he wants to be with me in good and bad and he supports me through all my crazy ventures. He makes me stronger, he makes me happier and I cannot ever imagine my life without him...
I am lucky! In fact, I feel like the luckiest woman in the world because I met the man of my dreams and he created for me a wedding that I would never admit I wanted to have, but it was even better than what I dreamed!
